Had my burger medium-cooked no bun with a green chile (large one too) nuske bacon (nice slices of good bacon) bleu cheese and black beans/garlic. All very good but I did not much like the fries or edamame. Will definitely be back again next time in Vegas. I ate mine in the bar area for tv access. Really good service too. |

It has all the charm (and music!) of a traditional Irish pub the staff is fun and friendly and the food is phenomenal. We had the beer and cheese dip for an appetizer ... I would drive the 12 hours back to Vegas just for this it is that good. In two separate trips I had the corned beef on marbled rye and the turkey pannini with meunster and cranberry chutney - both were excellent wouldn't be able to pick a favorite. Both came with tasty potato wedges but I was barely able to touch them due to ordering a side of some of the best mac and cheese I've had - a very generous portion I could barely get halfway through. Fellow diners had the fish and chips (rave reviews) Irish-style BLT with rashers (said the rashers tasted great but she would have preferred them grilled so considering questing that if you don't want it straight-up) and the Irish cheddar burger which was proclaimed the "best burger I've had in my entire life." Dessert was equally good. I had the sticky toffee cheesecake which was very nice. Friends had the bread pudding (said it was fantastic) and the Bailey's coffee cake (said she had dreams about it). Had a blast with our waitress Samantha and the sweet guy that stopped by to bring our entrees and desserts. If you're lucky enough to catch the Irish band the illusion that you could be in Mother Erin and not in a hotel on the Vegas Strip is nearly complete. For those traveling with extremely picky eaters just note that the menu is limited. That's something that should be expected from a place trying to serve authentic Irish fare but if you're unsure check the menus at the door before going in. The three of us that dined there have very different tastes and I'm pretty picky but we all found something to our liking. However dinner during our stay with our bigger party was given the kibosh by the two teen boys who noted the burger was not on the dinner menu. If you're traveling with irritating teens though note that our waitress informed us you CAN order the burger for dinner on request. Last but not least for the full-blooded Irish like me if you're looking for a rousing place for drinks instead of (or in addition to) great food this is also your place. There are bars both upstairs and down - meaning you can get liquored up fall down the stairs get up and order another. ;) All in all this is the perfect place for a great meal and a good time! |
